Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher seeking a new challenge? We have a fantastic opportunity to teach in a special needs school in the borough of Bromley. 

The school is based in South East London and is an all through school however this role will be to exclusively work within KS3. 

The school works to support the academic, specialist and social needs of students. The students all have EHCPs and a variety of needs which includes SEMH, Behavioural Issues, ADHD, ASC, SLCN & Severe Social Anxieties. They offer a nurturing approach to education and social development and have a therapy team onsite working in a range of different disciplines such as play, music, drama, art and family & LEGO therapy. They also have a strong relationship with CAMHS, the School Nursing Service and with the Early Help & Social care team

The role will be teaching a class of SEMH students – a small class of 7 students, and you will be supported by a team of two teaching assistants.

 

KS3 Nurture Teacher - Bromley - Requirements

  • Experience of working effectively with young people who present with a range of challenging behaviour
  • QTS or equivalent
  • Substantial and recent experience of teaching pupils/students with special needs, including autism, to a high standard
  • Experience of working in a special educational needs school is not essential. We have excellent opportunities for Teachers to extend their continuous professional development and develop skills in special education.
