About the Role

SEND Learning Support Assistants 

Primary School with an ARP 

Location: Hackney 

Salary: £90 - £100 per day 

I am looking to speak with specialist SEN LSAs that are looking to work in a mainstream Primary school based in Hackney, easily accessible via the overground. This Primary school has a Autism Resource Provision (ARP) providing excellent support for an additional 10 children from all year groups that have been diagnosed with autism and have an EHCP plan. 

The Role: 

As a Learning Support Assistant at this school you duties will be;

  • Supporting children with autism (all levels) including non-verbal or selective mutism children and complex needs. 
  • Supporting children using tools such as PECs, Makaton and other visual aids. 
  • Enhancing social interaction and other social skills. 
  • Supporting 1:1 within the MS class as well as small groups outside of the classroom. 
  • Working alongside Speech & Language Therapists, Educational Psychologists and Occupational Therapists. 
  • Working as a Team as well as using innovative to work alone. 
  • Supporting with personal care as and when required (feeding, changing, toileting) 

We will consider candidates with the following; 

  • Experience with SEN within a school or community setting. 
  • Experience with primary aged or EYFS children. 
  • A can do attitude with an empathetic personality. 
  • Must have experience with children with all levels of ASC.
