I am looking for a Learning Support Assistant for a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) based in Southeast London. The school caters to students who cannot access mainstream education and sometimes have an EHCP (SEMH, ASD, ADHD). The students may have suffered adverse childhood experiences, including trauma and toxic stress, and require an individual and holistic approach to their learning and support. Understanding their SEMH needs is essential in these roles, and we are seeking individuals who can make a positive impact.

What can you expect as a Learning Support Assistant?

  • Teaching in a setting with a like-minded team who are equally as dedicated to the learning and personal development of young people.
  • Working with multidisciplinary therapy teams.
  • Extensive specialist training from SEMH Specialists.


The Ideal Learning Support Assistant?

  • Experience working in specialist settings for young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
  • A Learning Support Assistant should go above and beyond to change the lives of young people.
  • Excels in building a strong rapport with students and staff.
  • Learning Support Assistant must be able to adjust to and overcome challenges whilst following appropriate protocol.
