PRU Teaching Assistant – Behaviour

I am working with a fantastic SEMH PRU based in Hammersmith & Fulham who pride themselves in their inclusivity and neurodiversity. Pupils range from the ages of 7-19 and present with significant complexity and co-morbidity linked to adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) including childhood trauma or secondary trauma linked to family marginalisation, loss of homes or relationships or pupil bullying and multiple exclusions. The school are seeking a PRU Learning Support Assistant to provide full support to the students and help change their attitude to learning.

 

Most students upon joining the school have experienced approximately three permanent exclusions, have been out of education for up to 18 months or at risk of developing severe mental health problems and potential involvement with crime. The driven staff have successfully changed the lives of so many children, with 90% entering full-time education, training, or employment within three-five years of leaving this establishment.
