Are you an experienced SENCO with either primary or Secondary school experience, looking for a new challenge or an opportunity to develop your skills?

Are you a qualified teacher with extensive SEND experience, looking for career progression?

Are you looking for a school with a friendly and supportive staff team and an inclusive approach to learning?

I am actively recruiting an experienced SENCO for a wonderful and creative mainstream school trust in SE London. You will be experienced in all areas of the SENCO role and will work with the existing SENCO; scaffolding lessons to best support children with additional needs, carry out assessments of pupils with SEN, manage the EHCP process and annual reviews. This will include observations in the classroom and meeting with teachers and parents.

Who would suit this SENCO role?

This is an incredibly exciting opportunity for an experienced SENCO looking to lead on SEN in a large academy trust of primary and secondary schools, if you are looking for a consultancy role, this could also suit you! You would work 5 days per week across 2 of their secondary school sites.

This role would also suit a SENCO looking to further their experience and looking for an opportunity to utilise mentoring and coaching skills. This role will include EHCP processing, is a child centred role with SEN advisory responsibility and could also develop into an SENCO offering across other sites as the role develops.

Why is the trust recruiting a SENCO?

This is to increase capacity currently required mainly at KS3 but the needs have increased across the trust so the role can develop and grow as you establish yourself. The current SENCO requires additional support and you will work alongside them to support the growing need to support an inclusive offer. This is a full time role, 5 days a week.
