About Me

I began my career in education as a SEND Teaching Assistant and HLTA, gaining over 13 years of experience supporting children from EYFS to KS2 with a range of needs, including ADHD, ASD, PMLD, and EAL. My mum inspired me to become a Teaching Assistant after working in a school for over 30 years and being incredible at what she did.  During this time, I led interventions, covered classes, supported EHCP implementation, and completed extensive training in SEND, speech and language and EAL, all of which shaped my understanding of how to help every child thrive in their own way.

In 2024, I moved into recruitment, drawn to Parker Smith Inclusion because of its genuine, people-first approach and shared passion for improving outcomes in SEND education. I’m motivated to make meaningful connections between schools and educators, drawing on my classroom experience to ensure the right support is in the right place. I take real pride in listening properly, understanding what schools and educators need, and helping create matches where people can genuinely thrive, and the children are best supported.

RANDOM FACT ABOUT ME

My husband is a SENCO, so although I’m no longer in the classroom, SEND education is still very much part of everyday life, so I always have someone to bounce ideas and best practice off.
