Communication Support Worker – BSL Level 2 Teaching Assistant 

Are you passionate about supporting deaf children with their learning and communication needs?

Are you BSL level 2 qualified with a competent level of fluency?

Are you keen to further your BSL communication skills in a dedicated provision for deaf children?

We are ALWAYS seeking engaging Communication Support Workers and Teaching Assistants, with a minimum of BSL Level 2, for deaf provisions  and schools for the deaf across London.

 

About the schools you will work in

Our provisions and schools for deaf children are based across all London boroughs and could be an additionally resourced provision attached to a mainstream primary or secondary school, or could be a SEN school set up for hearing impairments and profoundly deaf children.

 

What you can expect as a CSW – BSL specialist Teaching Assistant 

  • Experience of working in an inclusive mainstream school with a deaf provision as a Teaching Assistant / Communication Support Worker
  • Experience of working in a specialist school for the deaf as a Teaching Assistant / Communication Support Worker
  • To be part of a fantastic deaf support team and having access to further development as part of your training
  • Being part of wider school community with a commitment to signing
  • Excellent experience and training for aspiring Teachers of the Deaf, SEN Teachers and Speech and language Therapists

 

CSW BSL Specialist Teaching Assistant 

  • BSL Level 2 (Signature or iBSL accredited qualification)
  • Good level of fluency
  • Passionate about inclusion

 

Although experience as a Teaching Assistant / CSW supporting children specialist deaf schools/provisions/ is certainly beneficial we would also love to hear from individuals who hold BSL level 2 and are looking to take their first step into education settings so please get in touch!
