Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant - small group of students with ASD 

Hours: 8:45 - 3:45pm 

Pay: £80-100 PAYE

Do you have a passion and talent for supporting children and young people with special educational needs?

This is an extremely interesting role working in a brand new class with three early years pupils who are awaiting their EHCP but will likely be diagnosed with ASD. The three pupils will be joining the mainstream primary school in September and will begin on a reduced timetable while they settle into the school. The three pupils are non-verbal and have associated challenges and needs.

Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant requirements

  • Passion for working with young people who require additional support in order to access education and social development
  • Ideally previous experience (formal or informal) supporting children with autism or other special educational needs
  • A proactive and positive individual who is always striving to meet children's learning needs.
  • Ability to build rapport with children

What you can expect as a Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant 

  • Your role as a Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant will be to support a child with special educational needs however the role will vary from day to day, you will be expected to use your initiative and respond calmly in challenging situations
  • For aspiring Teachers, Pastoral Workers, Child Psychologists, Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, SALTs, Counsellors, and Social Workers, these positions will offer relevant and vital experience for your chosen career path
  • You will have an opportunity to make a huge social impact, as a specialist 1:1 Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant you would change the path of a child's life.

Pay

  • We understand that pay is extremely important and it must be clear and simple! For that reason we have chosen to pay our staff via PAYE only. Quoted rates are gross pay and your pay will never involve employer's NI deductions or admin fees. 
  • Just as roles vary, so will the remuneration depending on the role requirements and your experience. You will often see these roles advertised as daily rates, please note that we pay PAYE only and rates will vary depending on the role and your experience. Please bear in mind that all school based work will be term time only.
