KS3 Teaching Assistant
£100 - 110 per day PAYE

Located near Morden, this wonderful Autism specialist school are seeking an experienced teaching assistant to join their warm, friendly team. Located within a newly-refurbished building, this beautiful school has a range of modern facilities purposely built to accommodate students on the Autism Spectrum who also have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. This includes large open classrooms, a gym (which staff are more than welcome to use!) as well as specialist facilities for ICT, food technology and science. There are also calming therapy spaces for students who may need time away from the classroom as well as a landscaped outdoor area with an all weather pitch.
Working in small classes of maximum 10 pupils, you will be working alongside the class teacher to support students working towards the national curriculum as well as working together to help develop essential life skills. There are a wide range of trips and visits built into the curriculum to help build independence and prepare students for life after education - for example, a trip to the cinema to watch a movie that had been studied during English lessons!
