Do you have experience supporting children with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs and challenging behaviour?

Do you have a strong drive to work with pupils and young adults with SEMH?

I am currently working with a specialist SEMH school that is looking for a Mental Health Support Worker to work within their school, supporting the most vulnerable students

They are highly respected leaders in SEN and trauma-informed practice. Their ethos is about empowering each one of their students. They are constantly creating new imaginative projects that stimulate the children and promote independence. They have fantastic facilities on site. Being a part of this school feels just like a family environment who are continually celebrating each other.

If you have experience in an SEMH or PRU setting, or as a Mental Health Support Worker, I want to hear from you! The children you will support will have a variety of needs which can include significant complex behavioural challenges.

Requirements of a Mental Health Support Worker:

  • Experience of working with young people with SEMH, behavioural issues, Trauma, Sensory processing, social communication - this type of experience is essential
  • Learning Mentor/ Youth Worker experience
  • Ability to build strong and meaningful relationships
  • A passion for working with SEND is essential
  • A caring and resilient person who works well as part of a team.
