If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you.

I am working with a wonderful mainstream secondary school and they are looking for a Pastoral Support Assistant to join their team.

The role requires someone who is determined, has strong behaviour management skills, and has a kind and nurturing personality. It is important that the successful candidate has a positive outlook and a good sense of humour.

As a Pastoral Support Assistant, you will be working alongside the pastoral team to support the pupils with their emotional development. You will need to be able to give good advice and be an excellent listener. Working well in a team is an important quality to have in this role, as you will be collaborating with teachers, parents, and other members of the community to ensure that our pupils receive the support they need.

Experience supporting pupils with SEMH and behaviours that challenge is essential. You will be responsible for helping to develop individual plans for pupils as well as supporting the delivery of group programmes to help improve social and emotional wellbeing.
