SEN Teacher – Primary SEN Class in mainstream school - September 2022 - Long term/Fixed term contract - MPS/UPS

Would you like to teach children with SEND in a mainstream primary school?

Parker Smith Inclusion are working with a mainstream primary school in Newham who are opening a specialist SEN class this September to cater to some of their higher needs’ pupils.

About the school

The “Good” primary school in Newham is a 3 form entry school that is multicultural and very diverse. The school are proud to have a strong culture and ethos of respect and success.

About the role

Due to the current delays in SEN diagnoses and EHCPs support, the school have recognised that some of their students are not reaching their full potential in mainstream larger classes. As such they will be creating a brand new class in September with a smaller group where they can meet the needs of specific students with SEN. As the brand-new SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for this class alongside a team of SEN specialist support staff.

SEN Teacher requirements

  • Experience teaching students with SEN including ASD, ADHD, SEMH
  • QTS or equivalent
  • Passionate about SEND
  • Nurturing teaching style
