Qualified Teacher working with SEMH

Are you a Qualified Teacher seeking a role working with SEN pupils?

We are working with an incredible school in London’s Hillingdon borough to find someone to lead a class working with students who all have EHCP's.

Each student will have a primary diagnosis of Autism and may have a dual diagnosis of other additional needs, some students may also have Social Emotional and Mental Health needs and may be dealing with trauma, so we are seeking someone nurturing to teach lessons and run activities within a classroom environment.

With different key stages available, you will be working within one of the multiple sites, with modern facilities, lots of resources and great staff to support you, such as behaviour mentors and SEN Teaching Assistants, including other support such as teachers leading other classes.

Requirements of a Qualified Teacher working with SEMH:

  • QTS/QTLS
  • SEN qualifications or experience
  • To work and support students with Social, Emotional, Mental Health and Challenging behaviour
  • To observe, assess and support students and set strategies and behaviour targets based on reports and observations.
  • To work alongside Management, SENCO’s and other faculty
  • To be prepared to offer advice to parents
