Secondary SEN ASC Teaching Assistant

Salary £80 - £90 PAYE

Location: London Borough of Southwark

Monday to Friday

About the school

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate, dedicated and caring individual to actively contribute towards the education and personal development of autistic secondary school children aged 4 to 16.  The students at this school have a primary diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and associated challenging behaviour with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The school focuses on developing independence and self-advocacy, improved behaviour, communication and social interaction. They also provide further support by working with parents to provide their students with the best education experience possible.

What we expect

  • Have some experience in or be keen to pursue a TA role.
  • A robust individual with some experience with ASC and challenging behaviour is preferable, but training can be provided.
  • Applicants with hobbies, a sporting or arts & crafts background are beneficial.
