SEMH Teaching Assistant

Location - Tower Hamlets

Start Date:  September

PAY: £90 - £100 Per Day PAYE

The School

Here at Parker Smith Inclusion, we are working with a SEMH secondary school based in the heart of east London, working with children with SEMH needs. The school have a strong and experienced senior leadership team who will be working closely with the successful candidate ensuring the correct support is given, the school are very passionate about the development of all teaching staff with a continuous development programme in place. The school are looking for an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant to join there team working 1:1 with a boy in year 8 with challenging behaviour.

What you can expect as an SEMH Teaching Assistant

  • The SEN Teaching Assistant must be a positive role model to support communication, with a sensitive, nurturing and consistent approach
  • As the SEN Teaching Assistant you should have the ability to build strong and meaningful relationships with vulnerable students
  • The SEN Teaching Assistant must be able to work alongside a likeminded team who are equally as dedicated to the learning and personal development of young people

The ideal SEMH Teaching Assistant

  • The ideal SEMH Teaching Assistant will have experience in working in SEMH or SEN setting
  • The SEMH Teaching Assistant, ideally will have experience working with SEN whether personal or professional experience we want to hear from you
  • The perfect SEMH Teaching Assistant should have a nurturing and calming personality 
  • The SEMH Teaching Assistant should have a passion and drive to ensure the pupils are able to build on a platform for life-long learning and educational success.
  • The SEMH Teaching Assistant should be a positive role model for all and promote good behaviour, assisting students inside and outside the classroom
