SEMH Teaching Assistant based within a small SEMH secondary school
£90 - £95 per day PAYE

This school is actively seeking engaging and passionate people to work in a specialist SEMH school that provides education to children who are unable to be educated in a mainstream school due to behaviour difficulties. You will be working to support a small group of pupils, sometimes 1:1, who need significant support with Social Emotional Mental Health - experienced Behaviour Mentors or Youth Workers would be highly valued for this role. This role requires a strong, robust and resilient person who would be an excellent role model.
Teaching Assistant and Behaviour Mentor Requirements:
- A passion for helping young people with SEMH, Autism, behavioural issues, Trauma, Sensory processing, social communication.
- Experience with challenging behaviour – this role would really suit someone who has worked in a PRU or SEMH school, has work as a Pastoral Officer in a school, or has experience with challenging behaviour as a Youth Worker.
- An understanding and empathetic approach.
- A passion for working with SEND is essential.
