The role
I am looking for a Teaching Assistant seeking an exciting opportunity to work in a fantastic school based in Barking and Dagenham. I am looking for experienced Teaching Assistants seeking an opportunity to work within primary schools in order to support young children with SEN throughout their early education. You may be working 1:1 or within small groups.
You should have previous experience working in a school and also be qualified in EYFS level 2 (desirable). You should have great resilience and the willingness to learn! A friendly, approachable Teaching Assistant with good previous knowledge of SEN would be most beneficial!
Duties of a SEN Teaching Assistant
- Supporting 1:1 with a child with SEN
- Deescalating challenging behaviour
- Working closely with class teachers and SENCO
- Following a child's Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP)
- Forming good, positive relationships with pupils
