The School
We are working with a fantastic mainstream primary school in Barking, who are in need of passionate and engaging SEND Teaching Assistants.
The Ideal Candidate
The preferred person will be bursting with enthusiasm and passion for supporting children with special education needs. We are after someone who is friendly and patient and is able to build and maintain strong relationships with the children.
Preferred candidates will have:
- Formal or informal experience with SEND in a school setting (including but not limited to ASD, challenging behavior, personal care and nonverbal needs.)
- An understanding of visual aids for learning - PECS and Makaton will be highly preferred
This is a very high-needs school, so the ideal person will be very resilient and empathetic.
