Are you a Teacher looking for a rewarding role working with SEND students?

We are working with a fantastic school in South East London Borough of Southwark to fill the position of SEND Teacher, leading a class of students diagnosed with autism. The students at the school all have an EHCP plan and range from ages 4 to 16. The school encourages learning through activities, and the successful applicant will lead a class and have a choice of what year group they wish to teach.

 

The school provides amazing training, including unique bespoke training specific to the school, and is full of supportive and friendly staff. The building is bespoke and brand new, offering various resources to teachers for their lessons. Additionally, three SEND Teaching Assistants will support the teacher in the class, assisting them with setting up and running the class.

 

Requirements of an Autism (ASC) Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status in the UK (or qualification transfer in progress)
  • To work and support students with a diagnosis of Autism
  • To observe, assess and support students in their personal and educational development
  • To work alongside Management, SENCO’s and other faculty
  • To be prepared to offer advice to parents and work with them to support their child.
