ARP Teacher - Primary SEN

A forward-thinking, inclusive primary school in Brent, North-West London is seeking a compassionate and skilled ARP Teacher to lead its Autism Resource Provision (ARP), supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

This is a long-term, full-time role, ideal for a qualified or unqualified teacher with a strong SEN background, especially in autism education. The ARP supports children with EHCPs who require a more specialist setting, while promoting inclusion and eventual reintegration into the mainstream classroom.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach and manage a small group of pupils within the Autism Resource Provision
  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons in line with individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
  • Foster the development of communication, emotional regulation, and independence
  • Collaborate closely with Teaching Assistants, the SENCO, therapists, and leadership
  • Implement evidence-based strategies, such as TEACCH, PECS, Makaton, or SCERTS
  • Monitor progress, set targets, and maintain detailed pupil records
  • Provide a safe, calm, and structured learning environment that meets pupils' sensory and emotional needs
