About the Role

1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant (Part-Time) – Wallington (Sutton)
Start Date: September 2025
Long-Term | Term Time Only | £90–£95 per day (PAYE)

Are you a confident and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant who thrives in a challenging but deeply rewarding environment?

Parker Smith Inclusion is looking for a dedicated and resilient 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a young boy who, while not yet diagnosed, presents with clear traits of Autism and ADHD. He displays very challenging behaviours and is currently attending school on a part-time basis, which is why this is a part-time, long-term position starting in September 2025.

However this could still be a full time role as it develops with the pupil.

About the Role:

  • Providing 1:1 support to a child with complex behavioural needs

  • Supporting with emotional regulation, transitions, and classroom integration

  • Responding to dysregulation and behaviours that challenge in a calm, consistent, and structured way

  • Working as part of a supportive SEN team within a nurturing primary setting

We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with children with complex SEND and behaviour that challenges

  • Confidence managing dysregulation and high levels of need

  • Ability to build a strong, trusting connection with a child who may struggle with engagement

  • Someone who is calm, patient, emotionally resilient, and genuinely passionate about inclusive education

  • MAPA or Team Teach training is a strong advantage
