Parker Smith Inclusion is working with a supportive specialist provision in Richmond upon Thames that caters to students in Key Stages 3 and 4 with Autism and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We are seeking a Behaviour Mentor to join their dedicated team from 1st September 2025.

The Role:

  • Supporting students on a 1:1 and small group basis, helping them engage positively with learning

  • Promoting emotional regulation, self-confidence, and appropriate social interaction

  • Working alongside teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff to provide consistent, tailored support

  • De-escalating challenging situations with empathy and understanding

  • Creating a safe, structured, and inclusive environment for all learners

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with young people with Autism and/or SEMH

  • Calm, compassionate, and confident when dealing with challenging behaviours

  • Able to build strong, trusting relationships with students and staff

  • Committed to making a long-term impact in a specialist setting

  • Team player with a proactive and reflective attitude

Details:

  • Daily rate: £90 – £95 (based on experience)

  • Start date: 1st September 2025

  • Location: Richmond upon Thames

  • Contract: Temp-to-perm – a permanent contract will be offered after two successful terms, provided the candidate remains a good fit for the school and role.
