Design & Technology (DT) Teacher - SEN School
Location: New Malden
Contract: Full-time, Long,Term and Perm
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: M1 - M6

Our school is a specialist independent day school for children aged 3–19 with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN). Our nurturing environment and integrated therapeutic approach empower students to thrive both academically and personally.
We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Design & Technology (DT) Teacher to join our dedicated team. This is a unique opportunity to teach in a supportive, innovative setting where small class sizes and a strong team ethos enable you to make a real difference.
What You'll Do:

Plan and deliver engaging DT lessons tailored to individual learning needs.

Inspire creativity and practical problem-solving in a range of disciplines (e.g., resistant materials, product design, or textiles).

Work closely with therapists, teaching assistants, and SEN professionals to support holistic learning.

Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages self-expression and confidence.
What We’re Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.

Experience teaching DT at Key Stage 3 and/or 4 (experience with SEN/SLCN desirable but not essential).

A creative and adaptive teaching style with a passion for hands-on learning.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.
