Are you a passionate Food Technician looking to make a real difference?

We are working with a fantastic SEND School that supports students who have a primary diagnosis of SpLD, Autism and communication difficulties. 

We are seeking a dedicated Food Technician to deliver engaging, practical, and academic Food Tech lessons up to GCSE level. 

About the role:

  • Deliver engaging, practical, and theory-based Food Technology lessons to students with diverse needs.

  • Support and motivate learners who may have faced challenges in mainstream education.

  • Prepare students for GCSE assessments, tailoring lessons to individual abilities.

  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and confidence.

  • Work closely with staff, families, and external agencies to support student progress and wellbeing.

  • Comfortable supporting children with sensory and motor needs, Autism and/or communication difficulties
  • Calm, confident and collaborative – someone who enjoys working closely with other therapists and teaching/support staff
  • You don’t need years of experience, but you do need to care deeply about helping children feel safe, seen and successful

What the school offers;

  • Experience teaching Food Technology or supporting as a TA up to GCSE level.

  • Passionate about delivering practical, hands-on learning experiences.

  • Skilled at adapting teaching approaches to meet the needs of vulnerable or disengaged learners.
