Who we’re looking for

  • A qualified Maths Teacher (QTS/QTLS) with experience teaching up to GCSE level.
  • Someone with a calm, consistent approach who believes in connection before correction.
  • Teachers from mainstream backgrounds are welcome; if you bring curiosity, compassion and flexibility, you’ll be supported every step of the way.
  • You must be able to differentiate effectively, celebrate progress in all its forms, and help students build confidence in their mathematical thinking.
  • Meet pupils’ entitlement for the National Curriculum by teaching Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Under the guidance of the Head of Maths, lead on maths curriculum across the school and provide specific subject expertise to the development of practice and curriculum policies.
  • Plan and prepare appropriately differentiated programs to meet the needs and aptitudes of each pupil setting suitably challenging targets ensuring educational programs are tailored to meet their needs as identified in their EHCPs.
  • Identify clear teaching objectives, content, lesson structures and sequences appropriate to the subject matter and the pupils being taught.
  • Be aware of and sensitive to the particular complexities pertaining to the education of pupils with ASD.
