About the Role

Outreach Tutor – Supporting Students with Autism, ADHD & SEMH Needs
Locations: Richmond and Kingston (travel across both boroughs is integral)
Salary: £130 per day
Hours: Full-time: Monday to Friday - Term Time only

What is the role?

  • You will be responsible for key pupils, working on a timetable each week, supporting students both at home and in the community 
  • You will be teaching/tutoring them in core subjects such as; Maths, English and other additional subjects 
  • Your sessions will be in the morning and the afternoon, and you will have time to prep sessions in advance
  • This role will involve travel across Kingston and Richmond boroughs. 

Working with young people with SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health)/ Autism and ADHD is rewarding, challenging, and never boring!

You’ll be working closely with students who may struggle with emotional regulation, behaviour, and communication, but with patience, creativity, and the right support, you’ll see firsthand the progress they make.

Expect plenty of lightbulb moments, victories, and the satisfaction of knowing you’re supporting young people with their lives and futures! 

Who We’re Looking For:

  •  Trauma Informed Practice

  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs

  • Learning Mentoring interventions and supporting children’s behaviour and access to the curriculum

  • Passionate individuals who genuinely want to make a difference.
  • Graduates (Psychology, Education, Social Work, or related fields) looking for hands-on experience.
  • Resilient & patient personalities – every day is different, and adaptability is key!
  • Previous experience in education, care, youth work, or mental health is a bonus but not essential.

Focus on building a strong, trusting relationship with the child or young person while discovering their interests and skills through various activities. We help children and young people to better understand themselves and sensitively explore social, emotional and behavioural issues which may be hindering them in achieving their full potential.
