Parker Smith Inclusion is proud to be working with an outstanding special primary school in Watford to recruit an experienced and passionate Primary SEN Teacher to join their team in January 2026.
This is a wonderful opportunity to join a nurturing, inclusive school that provides exceptional education for pupils aged 4–11 with a range of complex learning needs and developmental difficulties. The school prides itself on its creative, holistic approach — focusing on emotional wellbeing, communication, and helping every child experience success in their own unique way.
Pay: £176.40–£269.18 per day
The Role
As a Primary SEN Teacher, you will:
- Teach and inspire a small KS1 or KS2 class, supported by a team of dedicated LSAs
- Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons tailored to each pupil’s EHCP outcomes
- Foster a calm, trusting classroom environment where children feel safe to explore and learn
- Encourage independence, social interaction, and confidence through engaging, practical learning
- Collaborate closely with therapists, families, and multi-agency professionals to ensure a joined-up approach
- Lead, guide, and nurture your support staff to deliver the very best for your pupils
Who We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching or supporting pupils with Autism, Complex Needs, or SEMH
- A creative, flexible, and empathetic approach to teaching
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A reflective, child-centred mindset — someone who celebrates progress in all its forms
- Mainstream primary teachers looking to transition into SEN are warmly encouraged to apply
