  • Unqualified Teachers (with strong SEND teaching background): £22,000 – £34,000

Parker Smith Inclusion is working in partnership with an inspiring Autism & SEMH specialist school in West Sussex, to recruit a SEN Primary Teacher to join their team in September 2025.

The School:

This warm and inclusive school caters for primary-aged pupils (5–11) with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school provides a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment where every child is supported holistically to thrive academically and emotionally.

The Role:

  • Full-time SEN Primary Teacher
  • Deliver engaging, adapted lessons tailored to each child’s EHCP
  • Foster emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
  • Collaborate closely with therapists, support staff, and parents

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential

(Strong unqualified teachers with a solid background in SEND will also be considered)

  • Proven experience or a genuine passion for working with Autistic learners and SEMH
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed practice and inclusive pedagogy
  • Strong communication skills and a calm, empathetic approach
  • Experience with Makaton, PECs and delivering Phonics.
