I work alongside a SEND School based in the London Borough of Ealing, for September 2025 they are seeking a teacher who is comfortable with teaching a class of 8 students within KS2. All pupils within this class have a primary diagnosis of Autism and some pupils have a dual diagnosis of associated needs.

As an Autism Teacher based in this highly complex setting, you will be responsible for delivering creative and engaging lessons, working as an Autism Teacher requires a holistic approach, patience, empathy and a good sense of humour. 

You need to have the ability to engage the children and young people within this class in innovative, therapeutic, and meaningful lessons, supporting them in learning to help them reach their full potential. The school values pupil progress and it is a positive and safe learning environment where staff moral is high.

Requirements to be an Autism Teacher:

  • To work as an Autism Teacher, you will require QTS and have relevant experience as a Teacher in the UK. 

  • Solid experience working with highly vulnerable children, pupils at risk of exploitation, students with a diagnosis of Autism, ADHD, SLCN and SEMH, highly disengaged pupils, attachment and anxiety disorders is beneficial but we want to hear from ALL teachers.
