About the Role

SEMH Teaching Assistant – Brent
Daily Rate: £90–£105 PAYE
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: Full-time, Long-term

Do you have a passion for supporting young people with social, emotional and mental health needs? Parker Smith Inclusion is working with a number of warm and inclusive SEMH schools and alternative provisions in Brent who are looking for dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistants to join their supportive teams.

You’ll play a vital role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning, build positive relationships and develop confidence and resilience. The schools provide a nurturing and structured environment with a strong emphasis on wellbeing, therapeutic support and personal development.

 

Your role will include:

  • Supporting pupils with SEMH needs both in and out of the classroom
  • Implementing behaviour support strategies and promoting emotional regulation
  • Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils and encouraging positive choices
  • Assisting teachers and therapists with tailored interventions and activities
  • Creating a safe, consistent and inclusive learning environment
