Parker Smith Inclusion is supporting a special primary school in Watford with their search for an experienced SEND Teacher.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated, passionate and vibrant team within an outstanding special school that caters for children aged 4–11 with a wide range of learning needs. The school is committed to creating a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child can thrive through a bespoke and holistic curriculum.
As an SEND Teacher, you will plan, deliver and assess high-quality learning for pupils with Special Educational Needs in line with their EHCPs. You’ll nurture their academic, social and emotional development, manage LSAs in your class, and work closely with parents, carers and professionals to provide consistent, collaborative support.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, individualised lessons tailored to meet pupils’ specific needs and EHCP outcomes
Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress and achievements
Provide pastoral support and promote children’s wellbeing and independence
Line manage LSAs, supporting their professional growth and contribution to pupil success
Actively participate in school development planning and performance management processes
Lead or support a curriculum area, ensuring high standards and consistency across the school
Liaise effectively with parents, carers and multi-disciplinary professionals
Participate fully in a range of school activities such as swimming, PE and off-site learning opportunities

A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with experience working with children with Special Educational Needs
