Your Role as a Teaching Assistant

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils in their learning across a range of subjects and year groups

  • Assist the class teacher in preparing and delivering engaging lessons

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to help children reach their potential

  • Encourage positive behaviour and a love of learning

  • Help create a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment

  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to promote pupil progress
