About the Role
SEN Teaching Assistant – SEN School – Kilburn
Location: Kilburn, North West London
Salary: £95–£105 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, term-time only

A well-established SEN school in Kilburn is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to provide targeted support for pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs. You’ll work closely with staff to ensure learners feel safe, understood and ready to progress both personally and academically.
The Role
- Support pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs through a mix of 1:1 and small group work.
- Encourage emotional resilience, self-regulation and positive coping strategies.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals to maintain a structured and supportive environment.
- Promote positive behaviour using trauma-informed, relational and restorative approaches.
About You
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH, additional needs or behavioural challenges.
- Confident in using calm, consistent strategies to manage behaviour.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships.
- Committed to helping learners overcome barriers and re-engage in their education.
