Are you a calm, confident and resilient Teaching Assistant who is passionate about making a meaningful difference in a young person’s life? Parker Smith Inclusion is working with a highly regarded specialist SEND school seeking a dedicated 1:1 TA to support a pupil with ASC and significant behavioural needs linked to trauma.

This role is ideal for someone positive, encouraging and committed to providing stable, consistent support both in and out of the classroom.

About the Role

  • Provide 121 support for a secondary-aged student with autism whose main needs centre around challenging behaviours and behaviour regulation, emotional stability and trauma-informed support
  • You will need to be mindful and support these behaviours, which are linked to trauma
  • Build trust and consistency to help the pupil re-engage with learning
  • Support the student both inside and outside the classroom
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and pastoral teams to follow personalised strategies and behaviour plans
  • Offer patient, steady reassurance during difficult moments and celebrate every success
