I am currently working with a profound SEND school who are looking for passionate and hardworking SEND Teaching Assistant of various levels to support children with special educational needs including Autism (ASC), Speech and language communication needs (SLCN) and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).
You will be looking to support vulnerable children from the tender age of 3 up to the age of 11. Being a SEND Teaching assistant is a very emotionally rewarding role, as you will be supporting vulnerable children by supporting them with their educational and emotional needs and actually making a huge impact in their lives.

Your work will focus on supporting children and adolescents who face a variety of communication challenges due to SEMH and trauma. By working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other specialists, you will help create a nurturing environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to identify students’ speech, language, and communication needs.

Requirements
You must hold a recognised Occupational Therapy degree and be HCPC registered
You will need solid experience, ideally working with highly vulnerable children and young people or children with Autism/ASC and learning disabilities
Overseas-trained and newly qualified Band 5 Occupational Therapists are welcome to apply!
In line with NHS band scales, however, please note that sometimes your salary will be pro-rated as it is term-time only. The working hours are 8:30am to 4pm, so for our OTs looking for work-life balance, this is a huge benefit.
