Are you a passionate and adaptable educator with experience supporting vulnerable young people outside of the traditional classroom setting?
We are looking for an Outreach Tutor to deliver high-impact Maths and English sessions to KS3 and KS4 students across the Kingston and Richmond upon Thames boroughs. This is a vital role for learners with Autism, SEMH, and those who have experienced trauma or disrupted education. Students may demonstrate challenging behaviour and require consistent, compassionate, and tailored support.
The Role:
Delivering 1:1 or small-group Maths and English tuition in homes, community settings, and school environments - you will be planning, delivering, and marking work.
Supporting students with a wide range of complex needs, including Autism, SEMH, anxiety, and behavioural challenges
Creating a safe, nurturing learning space and building strong, trusting relationships
Setting clear learning goals and tracking academic and emotional progress
Working closely with schools, families, and wider agencies to provide a joined-up approach to support
Ideal Candidate:
Strong background in teaching or tutoring core subjects (English and/or Maths)
Experience working with students with SEND/SEMH/trauma-informed practice
