ASC SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with Autism Spectrum Condition in a specialist SEN setting?
We are working with a specialist SEN school in North London that provides a nurturing, trauma-informed environment for students who have faced barriers in mainstream education. The school is looking for a dedicated ASC SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team this September. This is a challenging but highly rewarding role where you can make a real difference.
The Role
- Support students with ASC and other SEMH needs in class and during structured activities.
- Build trusting relationships that help students feel safe, understood, and motivated.
- Assist in delivering tailored learning and behavioural support according to individual needs.
- Work closely with teachers, families, and external professionals to support student progress and wellbeing.
- Be an empathetic role model who encourages independence, confidence, and personal growth.
About You
- Experienced or passionate about supporting children with ASC and SEMH needs.
- Patient, adaptable, and resilient in a challenging but rewarding environment.
- Creative and empathetic, able to build meaningful connections with students.
- Committed to going above and beyond to help students achieve their potential.
