SEN Teaching Assistant - Autism Support 

Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant 
Location: Sutton
Salary: £90–£100 per day (PAYE)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join a secondary school setting in North West London.

You will be supporting students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) who are of mainstream academic ability but require specialist, structured support to fully access the curriculum and thrive in a school environment.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young people’s lives, working as part of a nurturing and collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with ASC
  • Support students' social communication, life skills, study skills, self-regulation, and anxiety management
  • Assist with the delivery of personalised intervention programmes
  • Help maintain a calm and Autism-friendly learning environment
  • Work closely with SENCOs, therapists, and teaching staff to ensure consistent and effective support

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience supporting students with Autism / ASC
  • Strong understanding of neurodiversity and inclusive education
  • Calm, patient, empathetic and adaptable
  • Committed to promoting independence and wellbeing in students
