About the Role
Autism Teaching Assistant Primary SEN School
Location: Pinner, North West London
Pay: £90–£100 per day (PAYE)

A welcoming and well-established primary SEN school in Pinner is seeking a dedicated Autism Teaching Assistant to join their supportive and committed team. This specialist primary setting supports children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), learning difficulties, and speech and language needs, providing a calm, structured and nurturing environment where pupils are supported to reach their full potential.
The school is recognised for its inclusive ethos, strong leadership and collaborative approach. Staff work closely with families, therapists and external professionals to deliver consistent, child-centred support and positive outcomes.
Role Overview
• Supporting class teachers with differentiated learning activities
• Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Autism (ASD)
• Encouraging communication, emotional regulation and independence
• Implementing clear routines, visual timetables and structured strategies
• Helping to maintain a safe, calm and nurturing classroom environment
Ideal Candidate
• Patient, empathetic and enthusiastic about supporting children with Autism
• Passionate about inclusive education and SEN support
• Able to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
• Proactive, resilient and confident working as part of an SEN team
• Experience in SEN, Autism, primary education or care is desirable but not essential
• Psychology, education or child development graduates are encouraged to apply
