About the Role

SEND Teaching Assistants Wanted – Specialist Autism School | South West London (Sutton)

Are you passionate about supporting young people with Autism and associated needs? Are you looking to make a real difference in a specialist school setting?

We are currently seeking dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistants to join a high-performing secondary specialist day school in South West London, providing high-quality education for boys and girls aged 11–19 with a primary diagnosis of Autism and a range of additional needs, including:

  • ADHD

  • Speech and language difficulties

  • Sensory processing challenges

  • Social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties

This is a fantastic opportunity to become a vital part of a highly supportive and inclusive school community, where your impact will be valued every single day.

About the Role:

  • Full time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm

  • Term time only

  • £90–£95 per day (via PAYE)

  • Based in South West London

  • Hired through Parker Smith Inclusion

Who We’re Looking For:

We welcome applications from candidates who are:

  • Graduates in Art Therapy, Psychotherapy, Speech and Language, or Occupational Therapy

  • Experienced in working with young people with Autism, ADHD, social and emotional needs, or dysregulation

  • Passionate, resilient, and patient, with a nurturing and empathetic approach

  • Ideally experienced in a school setting, although similar backgrounds will be considered

DBS - Child and Adult Workforce subscribed to the Update Service or willing to pay and process a new one The ability to remain calm under pressure and build positive, trusting relationships with students and staff.
