The Role – Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant

Join a dynamic and specialist SEMH school in the heart of Mole Valley, Surrey. This nurturing setting supports pupils with SEMH needs, Autism, ADHD, anxiety, school-based trauma, and undiagnosed mental health challenges.

You will play a key role in helping students regulate emotions, access learning, and build trust within a safe, therapeutic environment. This is not a mainstream role – it’s a place where you can truly make a difference.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Providing consistent, calm, and firm support for pupils who need emotional and behavioural guidance
  • Supporting therapeutic and sensory-based activities that enhance engagement
  • Using creative tools like drama, music, and art to support emotional expression
  • Building strong relationships based on trust, respect, and understanding
  • Supporting pupils in managing anxiety, transitions, and dysregulation
