The Role – Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant

- Providing consistent, calm, and firm support for pupils who need emotional and behavioural guidance

- Supporting pupils in managing anxiety, transitions, and dysregulation

The Role
You’ll be working in a small class (never more than 8 pupils), supported by a strong team of teaching assistants and an inspiring teacher who will guide you. You’ll support students with everything from sensory integration and communication to personal care and hydrotherapy sessions. One day might involve messy play and sensory stories, the next might be quiet and calm. No two days are the same, and that’s what makes it extraordinary.

Using visual aids, PECS, Makaton, and sensory strategies to support their communication and learning.
Working closely with teachers, therapists, and other staff to create a positive, inclusive environment.
Building strong, trusting relationships with students to help them reach their full potential.
Getting involved in creative and interactive activities makes learning fun!
What We’re Looking For:
