About the Role

Behaviour Support Assistant (ASC/SEMH) – Wimbledon(Merton)

Location: Wimbledon
Pay: £90–£100 PAYE Daily Rate - Depending on experience
Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday - term-time only

Schools in Merton are looking for committed Behaviour Support Assistants to help pupils with Autism and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs across SEN, primary and secondary settings.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping children develop confidence, emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with Autism and SEMH needs
  • Use de-escalation, restorative and trauma-informed approaches
  • Assist teachers with structured routines and personalised interventions
  • Support pupils in building coping strategies, resilience and positive relationships

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience working with Autistic children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs
