Design Technology & Computing Teacher – Specialist Autism School

We are working with an exceptional specialist Autism school in the Hart area of Hampshire, supporting children and young people aged 11–16 with Autism (ASC) and related needs such as ADHD and mild SEMH. The school combines structure, creativity, and therapeutic support to help every student reach their full potential.
About the Role:
This is a varied and rewarding teaching role that blends Design Technology (with a focus on resistant materials and textiles) and Computing, combining creative and practical aspects to encourage problem-solving, design thinking, and digital literacy.
You will:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that develop creativity, practical skills, and confidence
- Teach across resistant materials, textiles, and creative computing (e.g. digital design, coding for projects, 3D modelling)
- Adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and sensory needs
- Work collaboratively with specialist TAs and therapists to ensure every student can access learning successfully

About You:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
- Experience teaching DT and/or Computing, ideally up to GCSE
- A creative, patient, and adaptive teacher who thrives in a collaborative environment
- Experience with autistic young people, or a genuine interest in developing specialist skills
