Within this role, you will teach a small class of students whilst supported by two SEN TAs. This will be mostly through play-based and activity-based learning. The school has various facilities and resources to support teachers with their lessons. The headteacher speaks with all staff to ensure they are happy and have the support they need. I am supporting a large primary school in Hackney that have a nursery base within their school, for September 25 they will have more admissions meaning they will require support within the early years classroom. A typical day within this class will be working with children age 4 - 6 that could be non-verbal, have global delay, learning difficulties and autism, you will be working closely to build trust and rapport with these students teaching them the early life skills they need to thrive within their education, preparing them for primary school. You will be taking part in a lot of activity based learning, using sensory toys, bucket time, phonics and being creative to keep all children engaged in their day-day learning. Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant MS Primary, Tower Hamlets Long Term Contract Immediate & September 2025 A MS Primary school based in the heart of Tower Hamlets are seeking Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistants, you will be required to have a Level 3 in Childcare, Health & Social Care or Teaching Assistant qualification. Within this role you will be supporting EYFS and/or KS1 children with mild SEN needs such as; global delay, autism, speech & language challenges, behaviour challenges and social skill requirements. You will be required to use alternative communication tools and be comfortable with personal care. An Ideal Candidate: Previous experience within a school setting working 1:1 or within small groups of children that display SEN. Proven experience using alternative communication tools such as; PECS, Makaton, Now & Next Boards, bucket time, phonics. Comfortable carrying out personal care and / or open to training.
