About the Role

English Teacher for Autism/SEMH School – Inspire Learning!

Location: Merton, South West London

Contract Type: Long-term contract/Permanent opportunity.

Pay: M1 - M6 (£36,413 - £48,532) + SEN allowance £2679

Start: September 2025

We’re looking for a dedicated, compassionate, and creative English Teacher to join our inclusive and supportive school community.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A qualified English teacher with a heart for inclusion and a commitment to SEND education
  • Experience or understanding of Autism and SEMH
  • Creativity, patience, and resilience to engage and inspire diverse learners
  • A belief that every child can achieve and deserves a voice
  •  Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • A qualification in SEND education is desirable.

  • Experience of working with children with SEND and ASC

  • Experience in teaching English

Qualified SEN Teacher (QTS/QTLS), SEMH, Autism & ADHD September 2025 | Long-Term to Permanent(Full time- Term Time) Outer London MPS, PAYE only Richmond (Accessible from Merton) If you’re a qualified teacher who’s thinking, I want to make a bigger difference, this could be the role for you. We’re helping a growing specialist school in the Richmond borough. It’s part of a respected trust that focuses on therapeutic education and relational practice. The school supports secondary-aged pupils with Autism, ADHD, and SEMH, all with EHCPs. The environment is calm, consistent, and supportive, but this role is challenging. You will need strong teaching skills and a genuine ability to connect with students who may not trust easily. However, the leadership team is excellent, the ethos is strong, and the impact you will have here is both immediate and lasting.
