Teach. Inspire. Qualify.
Do you love teaching English but don’t yet have QTS?
Have you already built up a couple of years of experience supporting young people in education?
This could be the perfect step into a fully qualified teaching career.
We’re looking for an English Teacher who is ready to bring patience, creativity, and resilience to pupils who need it most. You don’t need to be qualified – what matters is your experience, subject knowledge, and drive to make a difference. For the right person, this school will provide a formal teacher training route to gain QTS while you work.
What makes this school special?
- Small classes, significant impact: no more than eight pupils, plus two fantastic TAs in every class
- Therapeutic environment: Speech & Language Therapy, OT, and Behaviour Support built in
- Personalised curriculum: creative and flexible, designed around each child
- Career growth: CPD, training, and clear progression in a school that invests in you
What you’ll be doing
- Teaching English up to GCSE in ways that spark interest and build confidence
- Supporting students aged 9–16 with Autism (ASC) and SEMH needs
- Helping pupils regulate emotions, rebuild trust in education, and rediscover their potential
- Working with a supportive team of teachers, TAs, and therapists who share your passion
Why apply?
- A chance to train as a teacher while working: get paid, gain QTS
- A welcoming, nurturing school where relationships come first
- Ongoing CPD and mentoring to keep you growing
- The satisfaction of seeing children succeed who may have been written off elsewhere
Who we’re looking for
- At least 2 years’ experience working in schools or specialist education
- Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for English
- A patient, empathetic personality and the resilience to keep going when things get tough
- No teaching qualification needed: just a genuine passion to learn and inspire
