The Role: As a Therapeutic Educational Practitioner (TEP), you will be responsible for working with a small group of 6-8 students who require a tailored approach to learning. You will build strong, meaningful relationships, while also establishing clear, consistent boundaries that contribute to a safe and supportive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Support the social and emotional development of students, particularly in areas related to social anxiety and social skills. Work closely with students, building trust and nurturing their self-confidence in a way that promotes positive behavioral change. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement personalized education plans that meet the individual needs of each student. Actively participate in team meetings, training, and other activities related to therapeutic education to enhance the provision of support. Person Specification: Proven experience working with young people within an SEMH or therapeutic educational setting. A strong understanding of therapeutic education, with the ability to engage and build positive relationships with students who have complex needs. Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to meet the social and emotional needs of each student. An understanding of social anxiety, social skills challenges, and language processing difficulties, with practical strategies to support students facing these issues. A calm, patient, and resilient personality, with a commitment to maintaining professional boundaries. SEN Learning Support Assistant - MS Primary within ARP - September 2025 Newham £95 - £100 per day Long term & temp2perm opportunities The School: I am working with a MS Primary School based a short walk from East Ham station that is part of a larger trust, they have a growing need for SEN support within their Autism provision created to set up pathways for children that require additional support. The Role as a SEN Learning Support Assistant: As a SEN Learning Support Assistant you will be working 1:1 and in group setting supporting children that display additional needs such as autism, dyslexia, speech & language challenges, global delay and other complex needs. You will be the support system for this child and for the teacher meaning you have to be committed, passionate and patient to help these children every day. BSL Level 2 Teaching Assistant Newham 1:1 BSL Level 2 or above Are you passionate about supporting deaf children with their learning and communication needs? Are you BSL level 2 qualified or higher? Are you keen to further your BSL communication skills in a dedicated school for deaf children? The School I am working with a primary school that is part of a larger trust based in Newham, Canning Town. This school has a HI ARP for children with specific needs related to hearing, speech and language and other inclusive needs. This ARP provides a language enrichment classroom setting, specialised support from a Teacher of the deaf, regular support from Speech & Language Therapists and in class support from a communication support worker.
