About the Role
Graduate Teaching Assistant – SEND
Merton, South West London
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45am – 3:30pm (6 working hours per day)| Term Time Only
£85 - £95 PAYE per day, weekly payment
Are you a recent graduate with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)?
Are you considering a future career as an educational psychologist, occupational therapist, speech and language therapist, counsellor or teacher?

We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistants to work within our incredible SEND school in Merton, where your knowledge and passion can make a meaningful impact on the lives of vulnerable young people. You’ll gain hands-on classroom experience, learn new SEND strategies, and help pupils achieve their academic and personal goals.
What we’re looking for:
- A 1st or 2:1 degree in any subject (core subjects are particularly desirable)
- Genuine interest in SEND and a desire to learn and grow in this field
- Previous experience working with children (personal or professional)
- A positive, resilient, and professional attitude
- Ambitions to pursue a career in teaching or SEND-related professions (e.g., QTS, HCPC registration)
