The role

I am seeking resilient, passionate Learning Mentor to join a specialist SEMH school in Croydon, South East London. All children at this school have EHCPs and have a diagnosis relating to their Social, Emotional and Mental Health.

 

As a Learning Mentor, your role would consist of supporting students both inside and outside of the classroom. You would focus on breaking down barriers to young people’s learning so that they can reach their full potential.

 

Children at this school can present with challenging behaviour, so it is vital that the successful candidate is experienced in managing difficult situations and can keep a calm, clear head in these scenarios.   

 

Experience required

  • Experience working with young people with additional needs
  • Great behaviour management techniques
  • Possess excellent resilience skills
