We’re looking for a Residential Care Officer to join the residential team—someone who’s not just there to supervise, but to genuinely connect with and support young people. Your presence will play a vital role in their day-to-day routines, emotional development, and overall sense of wellbeing. 💛 What Will Your Day Look Like? You’ll work in split shifts, supporting students before and after their school day—helping them prepare for learning in the morning, and guiding them through residential life in the evening. Your responsibilities will include: Building trusting relationships with individual pupils, many of whom have experienced trauma, neglect, or instability. Creating a safe, calm, and consistent environment where children can develop socially and emotionally. Guiding young people in essential life skills, from personal hygiene to managing relationships, cooking, and household tasks. Accompanying students on appointments and outings—this could be a trip to the GP, a shopping trip, or simply a walk in the community. Monitoring and supporting their wellbeing, and contributing thoughtful insights to team reports and care plans. Living and working in small residential houses (Monday to Friday), designed to feel like home and foster independence and belonging. Encouraging participation in evening activities, such as swimming, going to the cinema, bowling, arts and crafts, and sports. Parker Smith Inclusion are proud to be working in partnership with a trusted local tutoring company Are you passionate about helping young people thrive outside of a traditional classroom? Do you have experience working 1:1 with secondary-aged students who need tailored, personal support? We’re working closely with a local tutoring provider that specialises in supporting students who struggle to access the mainstream curriculum. These learners may be facing a range of challenges, including mental health difficulties, autism, ADHD, and other additional needs. This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a young person’s life by offering personalised support in a community-based setting. 🔹 Role details: – One-to-one tutoring for secondary-aged students – Flexible hours: minimum of 3 hours per day, up to 5 days per week – Hourly rate: £15–£30, based on experience – Sessions take place out in the community (not school-based), so access to a car and a full UK driving licence is essential You must have: ✔ Experience supporting secondary-aged learners on a 1:1 basis ✔ The ability to build strong, positive relationships with young people ✔ Confidence working independently while being part of a wider supportive network ✔ A flexible, compassionate approach and an understanding of diverse needs This role is ideal for mentors, LSAs, tutors, youth workers or teaching assistants with a background in SEN or alternative provision, looking for a more flexible and impactful way to work.

Do you have experience supporting children with autism and enjoy working as part of a close-knit, supportive team? We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our wonderful one-form entry primary school in Onga. This is a dual-role position: 🔹 Morning – You will provide 1:1 support for a student with autism who is partially non-verbal, helping them engage with learning in a way that works for them. 🔹 Afternoon – You'll become a valued general LSA across the school, supporting various classes and contributing to the wider learning environment.
